OMG I finally got me a iPhone, and I am too happy!! More to come!

Windows

So after three years i decided to get a new Motherboard and Processor.

I had been running the same AMD Smeperon +3500 and Asus AV8N-E motherborad with XPpro then Vista Ultimate with ZERO problems. Then I make the swich, LOL well tried anyway. The hard drive refused to boot at all. I tryed every trick in my book… NOTHING!

I called a friend who knows almost everything about PC’s and he had me try a few things I didn’t think of. So after a few failed attempts, we came to the conclution that I had to reformay this drive.

So after a few hours of work We’ve done it, its booting and all is well. Until i start adding all my windows Upgrade disk, So it gos.. XP(home) (full) working, XP(pro)(upgrade) working, Vista Ultimate(upgrade) NOT WORKING!!!

No Display Driver, hell it can even see the damn card, but its useing it! No eathernet adapter.. the list gose on.. I try installing all the Vista drivers still no go. So at this point im done..

Ok, so here is the deal a full format and stop at XP(home) and all is well in my world once again

Age of Conan

Well after playing AoC for almost 4 months, I had to let it go!  The Dev team just don’t seem to care about players that don’t PvP. My friend and I spent a lot of time playing PvE and building and collecting matterals for our guild city, yet the coast was way to high for just two people.

If in a year or so they get all these bugs/content fixed I’d be happy to play again!

Google Chrome

Well after installing this new browser and giveing it a go for a few hours, I think its not to bad. It dosent keep up upto date on all of your socal networking sites like flock but it deffantly fast and clean.

To format or Not to format!

That is a good question… I think that after all the time I have put into trying to fix this damn computer that formating is my only shot. I hate formating PC’s because you spend a lot of time getting the programs you want and need in your everyday computing installed and acting the way you need them too.

Now after the format and clean install, it’s back to the grind of getting the updates to Windows then installing all your software and updating that, getting all your new drivers installed. Then you have to restore all your files from your backup! And I have never done this before so that’s really gonna suck!

I dunno, maybe I’ll just get lucky and find my XP pro disk and copy Windows over it’s self…

New External Drive

Well, I was up all night installing and formating my new 320GB WD My Book.

I got it from staples at 8:30pm I finished formating at 3am. It came in FAT32 so Vista needed me to format to NTFS and do a complete scan of the drive. After that I moved all my Music and Photos, 8GB altogether to the new drive.

Windows OneCare

finally did a system backup after a month of bugging me, 10GB! only took 35mins. All-in-all not to bad of a night, got to sleep around 7:30am. back up at 12pm.

So for around $120 I got 4x’s the drive space..
